Salon Policies

The Makeup Mirror is going into its 13th year of trade! To be in operation this long is no easy feat. Unfortunately the amount of late cancellations and no shows we have had over the past year or more has made us re-evaluate our salon policies.

It is something we do not want to do but for us to remain in operation and run a successful business, we are enforcing these new policies. We want to thank our loyal clients, that always do the right thing, you are the reason we do what we do. We really hope you don’t take offence to these changes and we hope to have your continued support in 2023. 

 

  1. All booked appointments will require a 50% booking fee to book with us. This fee is non-refundable and transferable if you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment. If you cancel with notice, we will credit or refund you the booking fee.
  2. If you no show to your appointment, you will be required to pre-pay in full for any further appointments. 
  3. If you cancel late within the 24-hour period, your fee will be forfeited. No excuse policy - not covid/illness, having to work, forgetting etc. 
  4. If you reschedule your booked appointment outside of the 24-hour period 3 times or more, you will lose your booking fee and will not be rescheduled again until you are able to attend the appointment.
  5. We take time out of our day to send confirmation reminders. This is a courtesy. Please reply YES or NO, ASAP. Your appointment is your responsibility. If we don’t hear from you 6 hours prior to your appointment to confirm or cancel, we will cancel your appointment. 
  6. PLEASE contact us if you have updated your contact details. 
  7. Please be on time to your appointment, if you are late, we will only be able to complete what we can in that time and will still be charged the full appointment cost.

 

I, understand these policies are strict but for this business to stay in operation we need to enforce these new policies. The above changes might seem normal to some but unfortunately it is a very common occurrence in our industry. If you have any questions, please let us know. 


NEW CLIENTS will be required to fill out a consent for each treatment they are booked for.

  • We will always do our best to accommodate clients who are more than 7 minutes late however we cannot guarantee you will receive your full service.
  • Prices are subject to change without notice.
  • Due to health and safety concerns, children are not to be left unsupervised in the salon, this includes treatment rooms and where possible we ask you do not bring them to your appointment.
  • If you have any questions or concerns regarding your treatment, please get in touch with us asap and we can assist and rectify your concerns.
  • The Makeup Mirror does not offer refunds on products unless faulty.

Current Covid-19 Policies and Procedures:

  • We have a right to refuse service of a client shows symptoms of sicknesses such as virus/cold/flu - please cancel your appointment in advance if you are showing these symptoms.
  • Please wash your hands at our hand washing sink at the left of the salon when you walk in or use hand sanitizers.
  • Please only bring yourself to your scheduled appointment. No plus ones allowed including children.
